Why this license?

I believe that in the last few decades, copyright law has degenerated into a tool for corporations to protect their assets and excuse them from innovating , and that this is contrary to its initial spirit: protect artists and creators in a way they they will feel compelled to create more work.

To "put my money where my mouth is", I decided to release my work under a Creative Commons license. The license gives you certain rights that would otherwise be reserved to me by default. Basically, you can copy the work in this site, make derivative works, etc, as long as you give me credit and don't profit from it. If you're interested in other rights not listed in the license, or if in doubt, just contact me.

"But people will be able to just make prints off your work and they won't buy your prints!"

The images in the site are 600 pixels wide. If you care enough to want one of my photographs in your wall, chances are you'll also care to support what I do. I can certainly provide higher resolution files if someone asks, but I'll probably want to know what you want them for, and charge a processing fee for my time. Also, a print made by the artist himself is arguably more valuable than one made by someone else. In sum, I'm not too concerned about this, and believe that the benefits outweight the possible disadvantages.
